Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ourazazate - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi

Khamlia- Todra Gorge - Dades Valley - Skoura - Marrakech

5 days/4 nights Morocco Holiday

Day 1 Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate

We will depart early morning from Marrakech, and transport over the High Atlas mountains Tizi n Tichka pass. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes and visit the Argan oil cooperative. We will stop for lunch at UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou before arriving for over night accommodation in Ouarzazate.

Day 2 Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi

After breakfast we travel through the valley of the Draa, to follow one of the longest rivers in Morocco. We will have time to admire the charming Berber villages on our way to Alnif. . After lunch at Alnif, we will continue to our Merzouga hotel to arrive around 3pm and prepare for our camel trek into the desert to see the sunset on top of the dunes. After a traditional tagine dinner and delicious mint tea, we will spend the night watching the stars and the rising moon before spending the night in a bivouac (traditional nomad tent).

Day 3 Merzouga

We will rise early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara desert before,we ride the camels back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. We will spend the day exploring the desert region and the amazing Erg Chebbi dunes. We will visit the oasis of Tissardmin and a nomad camp to gain an insight into the traditions and culture of the desert people. We will visit Rissani where we will have visit to the market of Sijilmassa, the donkeys. After lunch of local berber pizza we will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa music. Overnight accommodation at a desert kasbah with nice dinner and entertainment Berber drumming.

Day 4 Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorge - Dades Gorge

Early morning departure to Rissani and Erfoud and a visit the fossil factory before heading to Tinehir. We will pass through amazing folded exposed rock slabs to visit the Todra Gorge and then onto Dades valley and a visit to the stunning Dades Gorge. Overnight and dinner in the hotel .

Day 5 Dades Gorge-Skoura-Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After an early breakfast we will travel via the Valley of the Roses famous for big festival of roses every year and the Skoura oasis before arriving in Ouarzazate. After a visit to Kasbah Taourirt and lunch at a local restaurant, we will descend the High Atlas mountains to arrive late afternoon in Marrakech. You will have the afternoon to explore Jamaa el fna square.
