Day 1: Marrakech
Welcome, assistance and transfer to hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, you can choose to relax in your hotel, bargain for handicrafts in the souk, visit the cafes and restaurants at your leisure or take a sightseeing tour of
Marrakech. Day 2: Marrakech » Ouarzazate (200km)
In the morning, depart towards Ouarzazate via Tichka Pass (2260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco. The panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and magnificent landscapes and scenery are peppered by the small Berber villages typical of the region. The Anmiter Valley offers several Kasbahs along the way, including Toaurirte and Ait Ben Haddou - a 16th century UNESCO site and one of the best preserved and most spectacular Kasbahs of Morocco. Day 3: Ouarzazate » M'gouna » Boumalen Dades (150km)
Depart in the morning to Kalaa M'Gouna via the ancient trails of a thousand Kasbahs and the off-road trails of the Rose Valley. El Kelaa is well known for the rose perfume distilled from the petals that grow in the area, hence the name "Rose Valley ". Continue to the gorges du Dades, carved out over centuries by the Dades River. The natural scenery of red and mauve rocks tower above the road. (BD)
Day 4: Boulmane Dades » Tinghir » Erfoud (200km)
We head towards Erfoud passing the town of Tinghir, the Oasis, and the Gorges de Todra - another impressive canyon with palm groves and a traditional water reservoir. (BD)
Day 5: Erfoud » Rissani » Merzouga (110 km)
We visit the oasis and the Kasbahs of the ancient town of the ancient town of Rissani . We will follow the road to the dunes of Erg Chebb - the famous sand dunes of Merzouga. We will prepare for departure on the camel into the desert to see the sunset on top of the dunes. We will spend the night in a bivouac, a traditional nomad tent in a remote oasis located two hours from hotel. After a traditional tagine dinner and delicious mint tea, we will spend the night watching the stars and the rising moon. (BD)
Day 6: Merzouga » Zagora (280km)
At sunrise the we will return to the auberge where we will have time to have breakfast and shower before departing on the road from Merzouga to Zagora with unbelievably beautiful scenery. Explore the Sahara desert, the Saharan Berber villages, and visit with the nomads along the way to Zagora. (BD)
Day 7: Zagora » Marrakech (360 km)
Visit the stunning views of the Draa Valley, lined by Kasbahs, ancient villages (known as ksour), and palm groves. Arrival in Marrakech later in the day. (BD)
Day 8: Marrakech » Airport
Airport transfer depending on you departure time.
